The HEAD KORE 99 is a rigid, efficient and efficient ski in virgin and wild snow thanks to a beautiful spatula. A very good versatile ski for anyone who wants a light and handy pair more typical HP than track, where it lacks a bit of recovery.

Assiduous skier, light (72 kg) but sporty at the top of my 35 years, my practice is "alpine", in the sense that if I prefer of course to leave the slopes, I do not hesitate to make a small passage on the damé.
In this sense, I like skis with classic construction, straight songs, flat heel, little or no rockers. I love and ski: Nordica enforcer and fire arrow pro, BC orb, Dynastar.

About this test : HEAD KORE 99

This test was carried out on the day of Saturday 29 November in Val d'Isère in very good snow conditions and HP, on the Pissailas sector.

I voluntarily chose to test 99/100 mm skis on the skate so that I could compare the strengths and weaknesses of each ski(HEAD Kore 99/ KASTLE MX 99/FISHER 99). So I refer you to these tests if you want to have a quick comparison on the range.

Introducing kore 99 :

The kore range does not start with Ti reinforcements but from Graphene,a homemade solution to make the ski stiffer while keeping a lightweight set. Light, that's what comes back when you take it in hand, and it will feel at the feet. The ski is 134-99-120 for a very short announced radius of 17m. Design level, we do not crowd at Head, but black is beautiful isnt it ?.

The spatula goes up well,it has little typing but the rocker is quite pronounced. At the heel, the rocker is weak.

Flex:

The Kore 99 is an amazing lying rigid ski compared to its weight. There is no progressivity in its flex between spatula, skate, heel. I didn't expect this at all(it is the stiffest of the 4 skis in the 100mm range tested).

On the hard: the hook but a slight lack of raise.

The kore is an easy ski to ski, it gives confidence and despite its rigidity, its low weight makes it accessible. It rotates easily, hangs very well,holds the curve well. The spatula works very well,it is easy to enter the curves and vary the rays is easy: it is not a ski designed to fight on the track like an MX99, but more to dance sportily.

Indeed, I do not know if this is due to thelack of titanal or a flex certainly rigid but too uniform,but it lacks the raise at the end of the curve. Everything goes without addicts, but I like it when I feel that skiing reminds me to order! The kore 99 is reliable, fairly accurate, relatively eye-catching but not the best performing on the hard tests of the day (the mx 99 is ahead on this area).

The snow conditions were simply perfect for testing HP's abilities. And there the KORE 99 shows its full potential!

Its rigid and well-up spatula makes it very easy to get out of the snow. Because the ski is rigid from the front, you can load the spatula and treat yourself by lengthening the curves. With its lightness,it is also very handy in narrower places. It does not break the legs and makes you want to go back.

When the snow becomes traced,its rigidity, spatula and also a well-present heel gives it a good balance and it allows you to ski without worrying about the terrain. Again we find this perfect balance between maneuverability and performance, due to the mix between stiffness and stiffness.

The kore 99 is as powerful as it is handy in HP, for me the best of the 4 of this range tested this weekend.
To conclude and compare:
A perfect ride companion for good skier who wants a comfortable pair on the hard, performing hp, and not break leg thanks to its lightness. Nevertheless, it may lack a relaunch on the slopes for the most demanding on this point.

The Fischer 99 ti can be a good alternative to this KORE 99.
